Job summary

Magna Cosma International is seeking an experienced QA/Auditor for automotive manufacturing. You will audit cosmetic, functional, and dimensional aspects, document findings with evidence, and support decisions based on customer standards. Expect travel for training and site visits as needed.

The role requires strong written and verbal communication, familiarity with stamping processes, and proficiency in precision measuring tools such as calipers and tape measures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; with a minimum of 1 year as QA-Auditor and proven track record in cosmetic, functional testing and dimensional inspections.
• GD&T, Weld Standards, Manufacturing Practices, SPC training.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint; able to use precision measuring tools such as Vernier calipers and tape measures.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Some of the physical demands for this position include being able to lift up to a weight of 40 pounds and the ability to stand, sit, and walk for prolonged periods of time.

EQUIPMENT / TOOLS USED

Some of the equipment and tools used are a computer, printer, telephone, photocopier, and faxmachine, PPE and an assortment of metrology tools.

EDUCATION:

• High School Diploma or GED required; with a minimum of 1 year as QA-Auditor, and have proven track record in cosmetic, functional testing and dimensional inspections.

TECHNICAL TRAINING:

GD& T, Weld Standards, Manufacturing Practices, SPC

OTHER:

Computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

• Demonstrated proficiency in the use of precision measuring tools including tape measures, scales, Vernier calipers, etc.
• Metal Finish experience a plus.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook Express.
• PDCA/8D/5 why knowledge a plus.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Quality auditing experience in the automotive manufacturing environment
