Careerweb is seeking an OTR Driver to operate tractor/trailer or straight truck in compliance with all DOT regulations, transporting products safely from the Distribution Centers and their Vendors to destinations.

The position requires a Class A CDL and a minimum of 2 years driving experience with a clean driving record. Travel is approximately 75% or more, with overtime pay and comprehensive benefits starting day one. Shift is Mon-Fri with weekends at home for regional roles.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of tractor trailer Class A driving experience.
• Class A CDL required.
• Meets FMCSA and company requirements.
• Pass Background and Drug Screening.
• Clean driving records.

Responsabilités

• Operate tractor/trailer to transport product safely and legally from Distribution Centers to Vendor destinations.
• Deliver products in a timely manner.
• Monitor freight for secure devices and straps to ensure damage-free delivery.
• Follow company policy and required trainings; keep truck clean.
• Maintain driver's daily logs, trip reports and other documents as required.
• Perform full pre-trip and post-trip inspections on tractor-trailer.
• Report damaged product to Transportation Supervisor/Manager immediately.
• Communicate delivery issues up line to Transportation Supervisor/Manager.
• Keep equipment fueled and in inspection compliance.
• Maintain professional conduct with other motorists.
• Conform to all DOT and OSHA regulations.
• Perform other reasonable requests by management.

About the Position

The OTR Driver operates tractor/trailer or straight truck equipment in accordance with all DOT regulations to transport product safely and legally from the Distribution Centers, and their Vendor's to their destination.

Benefits

• Time and a half after 40 hrs, double time after 60hrs.
• Insurance day one.
• Boot and uniform program
• Cellphone usage ($50.00 per month)
• Layover pay $60.00 per night (Regional and OTR, Class A, B, & C drivers).
• Sign on Bonus of $5,000 for all class A drivers regional and OTR (excludes local positions)
• Pay 29.00 an hour
• Shift M-F home weekends

Functions

• Operates tractor/trailer or straight truck equipment in accordance with all DOT regulations to transport product safely and legally from the Distribution Centers to the Vendor's destination.
  
• Operates the tractor/trailer to ensure that the product is delivered in a timely manner.
  
• Monitors freight for secure devices and straps to ensure products are delivered to their destination undamaged and in their original condition.
  
• Required to follow company policy, participate in required trainings and keep truck clean.
  
• Maintains driver's daily logs, trip reports and other documents as required.
  
• Responsible for performing a full pre-trip and post-trip inspections on tractor-trailer.
  
• Immediately reports all instances of damaged product to the Transportation Supervisor/Manager
  
• Communicates any delivery issues up line to the Transportation Supervisor/Manager
  
• Keeps equipment fueled, tidy, and in compliance with inspection requirements.
  
• Accountable for all assigned tools and equipment.
  
• Maintain professional conduct and attitude towards other motorists who share the highway.
  
• Conform to all DOT and OSHA regulations.
  
• Perform any other reasonable request as directed by management.
