Job summary

Nestlé Purina in the Fairburn area near Atlanta is hiring a Journeyman Maintenance Technician (Class A multi-craft) to keep highly automated manufacturing equipment reliable, safe, and performing at peak. This advanced role spans electrical, controls, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and welding disciplines, with mentoring responsibilities to the maintenance team.

You’ll troubleshoot and repair PLC-controlled systems, read ladder logic, service three-phase motors, conveyors, and power

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 5 years of verifiable industrial maintenance experience.
• Journeyman-level maintenance skills demonstrated through one or more of the following.
• Relevant certifications or licenses as specified.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, robotic, and automated equipment.
• Diagnose PLC-controlled systems and motor controls.
• Read and modify PLC ladder logic to improve performance.
• Maintain three-phase motors and power distribution equipment.
• Repair bearings, gearboxes, drives, conveyors.
• Install and repair electrical components, conduits, and motors; support hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Use welding, fabrication, machining, and hand tools for repairs.
• Follow safety and Lockout/Tagout procedures and mentor others.
