ADM is seeking a Class A Local Tanker Truck Driver for Springfield, IL. The role requires planning trips, loading/unloading products, and meeting delivery schedules with weekend and night shifts as needed.

You will operate tank trailers and other equipment, obtain HazMat within 30 days, and pass required pre-employment checks. Base pay range is 78,000–94,000 annually, with comprehensive benefits and overtime where applicable.

Qualifications

• Must be 24 years of age or older.
• 1 year of verifiable OTR or Local experience within the previous 7 years.
• Class A CDL with Tank endorsement; HazMat within 30 days.
• No more than 1 chargeable accidents within last 3 years.
• No more than 3 jobs in last 3 years.
• No more than 1 moving violation in last 3 years.
• Must pass DOT pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, background check and functional testing.

Responsibilities

• Plan trips considering breaks, fuel stops, appointments, weather, traffic, and driving conditions.
• Load and unload product safely per company and customer instructions.
• Possess flexibility for weekends, nights, and holidays to ensure timely deliveries.

Job Description:

Class A Local Tanker Truck Driver – Springfield, IL

Job Summary – The Class A Local driver must be able to plan trips (breaks, fuel stops, customer appointments, weather, traffic & construction, city and rural driving conditions) and manage unforeseen circumstances. The driver will sit for several hours at a time while operating their equipment. Equipment can include but is not limited to semi truck, tank trailers, dry van, and pneumatic. Driver will be responsible for safely and efficiently loading and unloading product according to company and customer instructions. Weekly mileages can and do fluctuate. Weekends, nights, and holidays will be required in order to ensure timely deliveries to our customers. Driver must be able to obtain hazardous materials endorsement within 30 days of start. Uniforms supplied.

Essential Job Functions

• The individual is required to follow all government, company & customer policies and regulations. This includes but is not limited to FMCSA, OSHA, EPA, and DOL.

Preferred Candidate Requirements –

• 24 years of age

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

The pay for this position is expected to be:
