Job summary

Midwest Petroleum in Missouri is seeking an experienced Fuel Driver to transport petroleum products to our retail stations. You will load trailers at terminals, unload at sites, maintain logs, and ensure on-time deliveries while following safety regulations.

The role requires a Class A CDL, 2–3 years or 200k miles experience, and the ability to work an early shift (4:00 am–4:00 pm) or a 4:00 pm–4:00 am rotation. Candidates must meet federal guidelines and company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-3 years experience or 200k miles operating tractor-trailer equipment.
• Class A CDL license required; tanker experience preferred.
• Hazmat and air brake certifications preferred.

Primary Purpose of Job:

As the Fuel Driver, you will be responsible for transporting fuel by road in a safe and timely manner. You

must follow a fuel delivery schedule to ensure the arrival of fuel to Midwest Petroleum's retail locations

before any outages occur. As the Fuel Driver you are also responsible for loading trailers at fueling

terminals, unloading the tank at assigned locations, handling any on-site paperwork, and adhering to all

government and company safety regulations. Working hours are 4:00 am - 4:00 pm. or 4:00 pm to 4:00 am Days off are Tuesday/Wednesday or Wednesday/Thursday.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Transport petroleum products over land to our stations
• Responds to orders as assigned by the Fueling Director
• Reporting discrepancies to appropriate personnel when they are found.
• Provide information and/or direction regarding the status of fuel delivery and remaining load size.
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
• Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts.
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods)
• as well as with company policies and procedures.
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions.
• Meet all Federal Motor Carries Guidelines.
• Collect and verify delivery instructions.
• Maintains vehicles (checking fluid levels, fueling, cleaning, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring safe vehicle
• operations.
• Report defects, accidents, or violations.
• Perform some preventative maintenance.
• Handle any other work that can be assigned at the supervisor’s discretion.

Education/Experience Qualifications
