Job summary

DIHO Consulting USA, LLC. seeks an experienced Fitter Class A for an industrial fabrication role in Channelview, Texas. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of hands-on experience fitting heat exchangers, pressure vessels, tanks, or similar heavy equipment.

Must have advanced blueprint-reading, layout, measurement, fabrication, and fit-up skills and be able to work independently, maintain tight tolerances, and ensure components meet drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of industrial fitting experience.
• Direct experience fitting heat exchangers or pressure vessels.
• Advanced ability to read fabrication blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience with vessel layout, component alignment, and dimensional verification.
• Knowledge of welding preparation, fit‑up tolerances, and fabrication processes.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret fabrication blueprints, vessel drawings, shop drawings, and welding symbols.
• Fit and assemble heat exchangers, pressure vessels, tanks, shells, heads, nozzles, flanges, channels, and related components.
• Perform layout, measuring, leveling, squaring, aligning, and marking of materials.
• Prepare components through cutting, grinding, beveling, drilling, and surface preparation.
• Position and fit components before welding, and perform tack welding when qualified.
• Verify dimensions, angles, tolerances, and alignment using precision measuring tools.
• Coordinate with welders, supervisors, quality-control personnel, and other fabrication team members.
• Follow OSHA, company, and job-site safety procedures.
