Job summary

Goodwill Central Coast is seeking a Class A driver to complete scheduled trailer moves, deliveries, and pickups while adhering to required timelines and safety standards. You will operate heavy equipment such as roll-off trailers and compactors, secure loads, and complete inspection reports at multiple donation sites.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid California Class A driver's license; medical/drug testing certification.
• One year of experience commercial driving bobtail or box trucks; Class A driving preferred.
• Familiarity with material handling techniques and basic math.
• Basic knowledge of truck/trailer operations and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class A vehicle (pickup, box, bobtail, dump, or van) and operate safely per procedures.
• Place and exchange trailers at donation sites or designated locations.
• Complete required logs, manifests and paperwork; prepare/load for transport.
• Perform load securement, daily safety checks, and minor vehicle repairs as needed.
• Instruct new Class A drivers in procedures and safety standards.
