Job summary

Maine Oxy in Connecticut is seeking a CDL‑A driver to deliver cylinders and gas products from Naugatuck. You will start on cylinder routes, build customer relationships, and progress to microbulk and bulk transport of liquid nitrogen and CO2 while staying close to home.

The role requires a Class A CDL with HazMat endorsement, 21 years of age, a HS diploma or equivalent, and 1 year of driving experience. Company offers benefits and a sign‑on bonus.

Qualifications

• Must hold Class A CDL with HazMat endorsement and airbrakes.
• At least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of driving experience or recent driving school training.
• No at‑fault accidents or moving violations in the last 3 years.
• Ability to lift 25–75 lbs, occasionally more than 100 lbs.
• Comfort outdoors in a range of conditions and staying active throughout the day.
• Experience handling compressed gases is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections and keep safety items in good working order.
• Safely deliver hard goods and compressed gas cylinders, and return empties to the plant for refilling.
• Maintain load manifests and vehicle documents, balancing counts before and after deliveries.
• Build strong customer relationships and help customers manage their gas and hard good levels.
• Operate a forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment.
• Comply with all DOT and OSHA regulations.

You will start on cylinder delivery routes, getting to know our customers and retail locations.
