Job summary

Maine Oxy-ACETYLENE SUPPLY COMPANY is seeking a dedicated CDL-A driver out of Naugatuck, CT. You will run consistent Monday–Friday routes, deliver specialty gases and supplies to retail locations, and be home each night.

Qualified candidates have a Class A CDL with HazMat and airbrakes, 1 year driving experience, and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. The role offers a competitive hourly rate plus overtime and a $3,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL with HazMat endorsement and airbrakes required.
• Minimum 1 year of driving experience or driving school training in the past 4 years.
• Must be 21 years or older and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• No at-fault accidents or moving violations in the past 3 years.
• Ability to lift 25–75 lbs, occasionally more than 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and keep safety items in good working order.
• Safely deliver cylinders and hard goods, and return empties to the plant for refilling.
• Maintain load manifests and vehicle documents, balancing counts before and after deliveries.
• Build strong customer relationships and help customers manage their gas and hard good levels.
• Operate a forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment.
• Comply with all DOT and OSHA regulations.

As you grow with us, you will be trained to operate microbulk and bulk transport vehicles carrying liquid nitrogen, argon, and CO2.
