Job summary

To serve our customers by safely and efficiently transporting product from the warehouse by driving a tractor trailer to various customers and properly delivering and unloading product according to customer invoices and company standards.

SYGMA Portland offers paid training, dedicated routes, and strong earning potential. Most routes are no more than 36 hours, with bi-weekly pay and comprehensive benefits. Requires a Class A CDL and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED/equivalent is required.
• 1 year of tractor trailer driving experience preferred.
• Completion of tractor trailer driving school will be accepted instead of, or in addition to a high school diploma.

Responsibilities

• Unload product from trailer, by hand or using a hand cart, according to customer specs and company standards.
• Complete paperwork per DOT and company guidelines (logs, inspections, maintenance reports, invoices).
• Maintain food safety; ensure proper temperatures and prevent cross-contamination.
• Develop good relationships with customers through excellent service and communication.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
