Job summary

Bunzl Richmond is seeking a dedicated Class A CDL Truck Driver to join our team in Richmond, VA. You will safely operate a tractor-trailer, perform inspections, and deliver goods to local and long-distance destinations while adhering to DOT regulations and company policies.

The role requires a clean driving record, ability to lift up to 30 pounds, and strong communication skills. A medical card and background/drug screening are required as part of the onboarding process.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and clean driving record.
• Ability to operate and navigate a variety of commercial vehicles.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and handle loading/unloading responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and best driving practices.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.
• Must pass background check, drug tests, and maintain an active medical card.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and ELD compliance.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive and operate a Class A tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicles.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Deliver goods locally and long-distance to customer locations.
• Adhere to traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain a clean driving record and timely submission of logs and paperwork.
• Manage cargo loading/unloading and ensure items are secured.
• Report vehicle issues to management promptly.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Class A CDL Truck Driver to join our team! As a Class A CDL driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a commercial vehicle to deliver goods across various locations. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who take pride in their work, have a strong work ethic, and enjoy being part of a reliable team.

A Day in the Life

• Safely drive and operate a Class A tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicles.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Deliver goods in a timely and safe manner to customer locations, both local and long-distance.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain a clean driving record and ensure timely submission of logs and paperwork.
• Manage cargo loading/unloading, ensuring items are safely secured.
• Ensure the vehicle is properly maintained, reporting any issues to management immediately.

The Must-Haves

• Valid Class A CDL.
• A clean driving record, based on our fleet safety standards.
