Job summary

Bunzl plc in the United States is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to join our frontline team. The role focuses on safe driving, timely deliveries, and excellent customer service as a key contact with clients.

You will operate Class A tractors, perform pre/post-trip inspections, and maintain logs while adhering to DOT rules. We offer competitive pay and comprehensive benefits as part of a growing national fleet.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• A clean driving record per fleet safety standards.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and handle loading/unloading.
• Ability to pass background checks, drug tests, and maintain a medical card.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and ELD compliance.
• Able to operate and navigate a variety of commercial vehicles.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive and operate a Class A tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicles.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Deliver goods in a timely and safe manner to customer locations, both local and long-distance.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain a clean driving record and ensure timely submission of logs and paperwork.
• Manage cargo loading/unloading and ensure items are safely secured.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
• Ensure the vehicle is properly maintained, reporting issues to management promptly.

Class A CDL Driver | M-F |$25.50/hour

A Day in the Life

• Safely drive and operate a Class A tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicles.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Deliver goods in a timely and safe manner to customer locations, both local and long-distance.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain a clean driving record and ensure timely submission of logs and paperwork.
• Manage cargo loading/unloading, ensuring items are safely secured.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
• Ensure the vehicle is properly maintained, reporting any issues to management immediately.

The Must-Haves

• Valid Class A CDL.
• A clean driving record, based on our fleet safety standards.

• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and handle loading/unloading responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and best driving practices.

• Ability to pass background check, drug tests, and maintain an active medical card.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and ELD compliance

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of Driving experience.
• Experience with GPS and routing software.
