Job summary

Bunzl Baltimore is seeking a professional driver to join our team in Hanover, MD. You will operate a Class A tractor-trailer, perform vehicle inspections, and deliver goods locally and long-distance to customer sites.

Your responsibilities include maintaining logs, adhering to safety rules, and ensuring cargo is secured and delivered on time. Requirements include a valid Class A CDL, a clean driving record, ability to lift up to 30 pounds, and success in background checks and DOT compliance.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Clean driving record per fleet safety standards.
• Ability to operate Class A tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and load/unload as needed.
• Pass background check, drug tests, and maintain active medical card.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and ELD compliance.
• 2+ years driving experience (Preferred).

Responsibilities

A Day in the Life:

• Safely drive and operate a Class A tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicles.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Deliver goods in a timely and safe manner to customer locations, both local and long-distance.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain a clean driving record and ensure timely submission of logs and paperwork.
• Manage cargo loading/unloading, ensuring items are safely secured.
• Ensure the vehicle is properly maintained, reporting any issues to management immediately.

The Must-Haves

• Valid Class A CDL.
• A clean driving record, based on our fleet safety standards.
• Ability to operate and navigate a variety of commercial vehicles.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and handle loading/unloading responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and best driving practices.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.
• Ability to pass background check, drug tests, and maintain an active medical card.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and ELD compliance

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of Driving experience.
• Experience with GPS and routing software.
