Job summary

Bunzl Distribution NA in Kernersville, NC is hiring drivers on a Sunday-Thursday schedule with a starting pay of $27 per hour minimum. You will operate Class A tractors, perform inspections, and deliver goods to local and long-distance customer locations while adhering to safety rules and company policies.

You must have a valid Class A CDL, Hazmat endorsement, clean driving record, ability to operate various commercial vehicles, and the capacity to lift up to 30 pounds.

• Lift up to 30 pounds and perform loading/unloading responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best driving practices.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.
• Must pass background check and drug tests; maintain medical card.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and ELD compliance.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive and operate a Class A tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicles.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.

• Maintain a clean driving record and timely logs/paperwork.
• Manage cargo loading/unloading and securing loads.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
• Report vehicle issues to management promptly.
• Daily drop-and-hook routes to customer distribution centers.

Home Daily | Sunday-Thursday | $27/hr minimum | 6pm Start | Drop and Hook Routes

A Day in the Life

• Safely drive and operate a Class A tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicles.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Deliver goods in a timely and safe manner to customer locations, both local and long-distance.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain a clean driving record and ensure timely submission of logs and paperwork.
• Manage cargo loading/unloading, ensuring items are safely secured.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
• Ensure the vehicle is properly maintained, reporting any issues to management immediately.
• Daily drop-and-hook routes to customer distribution centers

The Must-Haves

• Valid Class A CDL.

Preferred Requirements

• At least 2 years of Driving experience.
• Experience with GPS and routing software.
