General-Waste in Minnesota seeks a truck driver to operate heavy commercial trucks and tractor-trailers for collection services, ensuring safe transport and proper disposal of materials.

The role requires performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintaining records per DOT regulations, and delivering outstanding customer service during pickups and deliveries while adhering to safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy commercial trucks, tractor-trailers (including tankers)
• Perform required pre-trip & post trip inspections and provides required reports
• Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations
• Maintain and follows all required certifications and safety policies required by DOT, OSHA and company safety programs
• Maintain various records and/or logs as needed per DOT Regulations
• Perform preventive maintenance on vehicles or informs Driver Lead of maintenance items needing scheduling
• Wash, lubricate and fuel vehicles
• Pick recyclable materials from incoming loads
• Carry out site grounds maintenance including; picking litter, mowing, weed whipping, street sweeping, plowing and dust control.
• Perform building and other stationary equipment maintenance
• Assist in landfill operations in addition or absence of other qualified operators
