Job summary

Axis Rental Solutions is seeking an experienced CDL driver to safely operate tractor-trailers and heavy trucks, transporting rental equipment between the yard, job sites, and customer locations, with attention to on-time delivery and DOT compliance.

Responsibilities include pre-trip and post-trip inspections, load securement, maintaining logs and hours-of-service, coordinating with dispatch, and adhering to safety regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Class A or Class B CDL required.
• 2+ years of CDL driving experience; heavy equipment hauling preferred.
• Clean driving record and ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening.
• Knowledge of load securement and weight distribution regulations.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to sit for extended periods while driving, frequently lift, secure, and maneuver equipment up to 100 pounds, and work in varying outdoor weather conditions.

FLSA CLASSIFICATION BASIS

This position is classified as non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and is eligible for overtime pay for all hours worked over 40 in a workweek, in accordance with applicable federal and state law, except where the Motor Carrier Act exemption applies to hours worked.
