Job summary

Tri State Paving is seeking a commercial driver with a Class A license to deliver equipment to construction sites in and around Hurricane, WV. The driver will be responsible for maintaining the vehicle and securing trailers and equipment, while prioritizing safety and efficiency on every shift.

Key duties include operating dump trucks or flat beds, keeping operator logs, loading and unloading materials, and ensuring loads are properly secured.

Qualifications

  • Valid Class A CDL license required.
  • Experience operating dump trucks and flat beds preferred.
  • Ability to perform pre/post trips and routine maintenance.
  • Commitment to safety and DOT regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Operates a dump truck, flat bed, or other assigned vehicles.
  • Maintains logs and records per DOT regulations.
  • Loads/unloads, hauls materials, and secures loads.
  • Performs pre/post trip checks and routine vehicle maintenance.
  • Loads tools, keeps the site clean, and reports issues to supervision.
  • Wears PPE and follows safety procedures.
  • Completes written reports of problems or repairs.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Job Summary

This position is for commercial drivers with a Class A license. Most driving will be delivering equipment to construction sites. Driver will be responsible for maintaining the vehicle and securing trailer and equipment. Attention to detail and the ability to work safely and efficiently is a priority.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operates a dump truck, flat bed, or other vehicles as assigned
  • Maintains operator logs, forms, and records in accordance with company policy and Department of Transportation regulations
  • Loads and unloads trucks and hauls and hosts materials
  • Properly secures and binds equipment to trailers
  • Operates small tools as directed by site supervisor
  • Performs a variety of tasks involving manual labor in heavy construction projects
  • Assists in maintaining a clean job site; picks up all tools and equipment and secures job site in order to eliminate potential hazards
  • Conducts pre and post checks, daily maintenance, and keeps truck clean and ready for daily operation
  • Completes written reports of problems or necessary repairs
  • Detects and reports improper operations, faulty equipment, defective materials, and unusual conditions to proper supervision
  • Wears required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times
  • Ensures that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed
  • Brings customer issues and problems to the attention of the management
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned
