Job summary

Bunzl is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to join our team in Florida. The position follows a Monday-to-Friday schedule with local and long-distance deliveries.

You will be responsible for safe operation, inspections, and excellent customer service while maintaining accurate logs and vehicle care. We offer competitive pay at $25.50 per hour plus benefits such as health, dental, and vision insurance, paid vacation, retirement benefits, and opportunities for advancement within a modern fleet.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Clean driving record per fleet safety standards.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and load/unload as needed.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and ELD compliance.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive a Class A tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicles.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Deliver goods to customer locations locally and long-distance.
• Adhere to traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain logs and paperwork with timely submissions.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
• Ensure vehicle maintenance issues are reported to management.

Description

Class A CDL Driver | M-F |$25.50/hour

A Day in the Life

• Safely drive and operate a Class A tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicles.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Deliver goods in a timely and safe manner to customer locations, both local and long-distance.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain a clean driving record and ensure timely submission of logs and paperwork.
• Manage cargo loading/unloading, ensuring items are safely secured.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
• Ensure the vehicle is properly maintained, reporting any issues to management immediately.

The Must-Haves

• Valid Class A CDL.
• A clean driving record, based on our fleet safety standards.
• Ability to operate and navigate a variety of commercial vehicles.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and handle loading/unloading responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and best driving practices.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.
• Ability to pass background check, drug tests, and maintain an active medical card.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and ELD compliance

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of Driving experience.
• Experience with GPS and routing software.
