Job summary

Maersk is hiring a CDL Class A Driver to safely transport freight to customers and distribution centers. You will operate tractor-trailers, complete inspections, secure cargo, and maintain records while delivering professional service.

Responsibilities include route adherence, on-time deliveries, and accurate logging. Required: valid CDL A, DOT medical cert, English proficiency, and ability to work evenings on a Tuesday–Saturday schedule. Competitive hourly pay offered.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Load, secure, inspect, and protect cargo during transit.
• Follow DOT regulations, hours-of-service rules, traffic laws, and company policies.
• Maintain logs, bills of lading, inspection reports, and other records.
• Communicate with dispatch regarding routes, delays, deliveries, and vehicle issues.
• Maneuver vehicles at loading docks, yards, and customer locations safely.
• Promptly report accidents, violations, mechanical problems, cargo damage, and unsafe conditions.
• Maintain a clean, professional vehicle and work area.
• Provide courteous, professional service to customers and partners.
• Assist with loading and unloading freight when required.

Job description

A CDL Class A Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently transporting freight to customers, distribution centers, and other designated locations. The driver operates commercial motor vehicles, completes required inspections, secures cargo, maintains accurate records, and provides professional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class A commercial motor vehicles , including tractor-trailers.
• Transport and deliver freight according to assigned routes, schedules, and customer requirements.
• Perform required pre-trip, e n route, and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Properly load, secure, inspect, and protect cargo during transit.
• Follow all applicable DOT regulations, hours-of-service requirements, traffic laws, company policies, and customer-site rules.
• Maintain accurate electronic or written logs, delivery documents, bills of lading, inspection reports, and other required records.
• Communicate with dispatch regarding routes, delays, deliveries, vehicle issues, and changes in operating conditions.
• Safely maneuver vehicles at loading docks, yards, parking areas, and customer locations.
• Promptly report accidents, traffic violations, mechanical problems, cargo damage, and unsafe conditions.
• Maintain a clean and professional vehicle, work area, and appearance.
• Provide courteous and professional service to customers and operational partners.
• Assist with loading and unloading freight when required.

Qualifications & Skills

Physical Requirements

This position requires frequent entering and exiting of commercial vehicles, standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting. Employees must be able to perform required vehicle and cargo inspections, secure loads, and lift and move products weighing up to 75 lbs. when required.

Safety Expectations

Employees are expected to comply with all company safety policies, applicable DOT requirements, OSHA standards, TSA requirements where applicable, and customer-site safety rules. Employees must immediately report accidents, injuries, unsafe conditions, equipment damage, cargo damage, and regulatory concerns.

Pay

$30.00 per hour
*The above stated pay is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
