Prestige Fleet Services is seeking skilled auto technicians to maintain and repair Class 6-8 tractors and trailers across our growing fleet network. You’ll work with modern tools and technology to diagnose and fix brakes, engines, and electrical systems, while delivering excellent service to customers.

Join a family-oriented team that values hands-on work, reliability, and continuous training. Prior experience with federal DOT inspections is a plus; EPA/ASE certifications are welcomed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years repairing commercial tractors and trailers.
• Experience with federal inspections and brake inspections.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Able to lift 50+ pounds.
• Comfortable using computers for billing and work orders.
• Follows work orders and communicates diagnoses clearly.
• Self-motivated with strong organization.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, inspect, and repair Class 6-8 tractors and trailers, including brakes, electrical, HVAC and engine.
• Perform preventive maintenance and DOT inspections; replace parts like tires, hubs, axles.
• Write work orders and manage repair orders on company devices.
• Inspect tractors/trailers to meet DOT road-safety requirements.
• Manage service truck inventory and source parts locally.
• Complete inspection reports and DOT documentation accurately and on time.
• Deliver strong customer service and report findings to management.

Responsibilities

WHAT TO EXPECT:

• Diagnose, inspect, and repair Class 6-8 tractors and trailers, including brakes, electrical, hydraulic, A/C, engine, exhaust, systems, components and after-treatment systems.


• Perform preventive maintenance and DOT inspections; service and replace parts like tires, hubs, axles, and lift-gates.


• Write work orders and open/close repair orders on a company device for mobile road calls and in-yard work.


• Inspecting tractors and trailers to meet the U.S. Department of Transportation's road safety requirements.


• Manage service truck inventory and source parts from local vendors.


• Complete inspection reports and DOT documentation accurately and on time.


• Deliver strong customer service and report findings to management.

Qualifications

WHAT IT TAKES:

• 3+ years of experience repairing Commercial Tractor and Trailers.


• Experienced in performing annual federal inspections and brake inspections.


• Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record & no suspensions.


• Ability to lift 50+ pounds.


• Comfortable working with Computers for billing and work orders.


• Follows verbal and written work orders to stay on track with daily repairs.


• Confident explaining a diagnosis over the phone and helping the customer decide next steps on repairs.


• Self-motivated with excellent organization and planning skills.

WHAT WILL HELP YOU STAND OUT:

• Experience with stick welding.


• Your own tools.


• Certifications are a plus | EPA 608/609/Universal & ASE.
