Job summary

Pacific Seafood in Clackamas is seeking a Delivery Driver – Class A to support our Transportation team. You will deliver orders safely, load and unload, and verify cargo to ensure on-time, accurate deliveries.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least six months tractor-trailer experience or training, and a valid CDL Class A. A clean driving record and Microsoft Teams knowledge are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Efficient Operations: Picking and packing orders; Drive and deliver orders to customers; Load and unload products; Configure routes to improve service levels.
• Quality and Compliance: Verify orders; Ensure all paperwork is completed; Load goods in a safe, logical order; Ensure load is properly secured; Return shipping documents to Transportation Manager; Maintain vehicle cleanliness; Represent the company positively during customer interactions; Address customer problems as appropriate.

Summary:

The Delivery Driver – Class A at Pacific Seafood is a key role on our Transportation team supporting efforts to ensure total customer satisfaction through complete and reliable delivery service. This position involves handling products carefully and delivering them in a timely manner to the correct destination and is ideal for someone who is reliable, safety conscious, and has strong organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Efficient Operations:
  • Picking and packing orders.
  • Drive and deliver orders to customers.
  • Load and unload products.
  • Configure routes when necessary to help improve service levels to customers.
• Quality and Compliance:
  • Verify order to ensure correct products loaded.
  • Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed.
  • Ensure goods are loaded into trucks in a safe and logical order.
  • Make sure the load is properly secured.
  • Return all shipping documents to Transportation Manager on completion of deliveries.
  • Maintain cleanliness of vehicle and report any maintenance problems to manager.
  • Represent the company in a positive manner in all customer interactions.
  • Address and resolve customer problems, as appropriate.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned as deemed necessary to support the overall goals and objectives of the position.

Education And Experience:

• Required
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of six months related experience driving tractor trailer field and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid CDL Class A.
• Preferred
  • Must have a clean driving record.
