Job summary

Pacific Seafood is seeking a Truck Loader for our Clackamas Warehouse. This full-time role focuses on accurate order fulfillment, safe loading, and efficient warehouse operations in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include picking/packing, coordinating with drivers, operating forklifts, and ensuring paperwork and safety procedures are followed. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, 1 year of related experience, and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1-year related experience.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. unassisted.
  • Forklift and pallet jack experience preferred.
  • Prior experience driving tractor trailers and straight trucks.
  • Forklift certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Pick and pack orders and ensure accuracy.
  • Receive goods from drivers and verify shipping documents.
  • Load goods safely into trucks and secure loads.
  • Operate powered equipment such as forklift and pallet jack.
  • Unload incoming deliveries and move trailers as needed.
  • Maintain clean, safe work area and report hazards.
  • Assist with driver deliveries several times per month.
  • Complete all required paperwork accurately.

The Truck Loader at Pacific Seafood is a key role on our Warehouse team supporting efforts to maintain a safe work environment, minimize errors, and ensure overall success of the warehouse operation. This position involves ensuring that customer orders are fulfilled accurately, efficiently, and on time, and is ideal for someone who is organized, reliable, and adaptable.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Warehouse Operations:
    • Picking and packing orders.
    • Work with transport drivers to ensure incoming loads are received in a timely manner.
    • Able to review receiving documentation to ensure accuracy.
    • Ensure goods are loaded into trucks in a safe and logical order.
    • Properly operate all powered equipment (forklift, pallet jack).
    • Make sure the load is properly secured.
    • Unload products from incoming delivery trucks.
    • Moving and staging trucks and tractor trailers as needed.
    • Provide efficient, productive operations of company and product.
    • Verify order to ensure correct products loaded.
    • Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed.
    • Address and resolve problems, as appropriate.
    • Clean up spills immediately or flag the area off, avoid blocking emergency exits, and report any potential hazards to a supervisor.
    • Follow all established safety rules and obey safety signs and tags.
    • Must achieve cost-effective standards for all warehouse activities.
  2. Driver Responsibilities:
    • Will be called upon to drive deliveries several times per month.
    • Maintain cleanliness of vehicle and report any maintenance problems to manager.
    • Represent the company in a positive manner in all interactions.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned as deemed necessary to support the overall goals and objectives of the position.

Education and Experience

  • Required
    • High school diploma or GED.
    • Minimum of 1-year related experience.
    • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. unassisted.
  • Preferred
    • Forklift and pallet jack experience.
    • Prior experience in driving both tractor trailers and straight trucks.
    • Forklift certification.

  • Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

  • Office, as well as warehouse environment.
  • Moderate noise level in the work environment.
