Job summary

UNFI is seeking a Class A Delivery Driver at the New Stanton location to deliver palletized products to corporate and independent retail stores. You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, review paperwork, and ensure accurate orders and documentation while maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid medical card per FMCSA requirements.
• Ability to pass a written exam and road test.
• Working knowledge of DOT rules and UNFI safety standards.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must hold a valid CDL-A license.
• Good judgment and ability to work with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Comply with FMCSA regulations.
• Deliver and unload products using equipment (tractor trailer, ramps, lift gates, pallet jacks).
• Operate vehicle safely within UNFI guidelines and minimize incidents.
• Report accidents to Transportation Manager/Department.
• Maintain vehicle safety and address defects promptly.
• Pickup supplies and back-hauls from vendors and complete related paperwork.
• Ensure orders arrive in quality condition and match initial order.
• Communicate professionally with customers and vendors.
