Location: Watertown, SD (Willing to work with applicants on location)

Hourly Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Job Type: Full-Time, Seasonal Extended Hours (Standard hours 8:00 – 4:30pm)

Overview: We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. This position primarily involves hauling grain but will also require assisting with our agronomy season operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting agricultural products, maintaining safety standards, and working closely with our operations team to ensure timely deliveries and efficient transportation.

Essential Functions:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate a truck to haul grain to designated locations.
  • Assist with tasks related to agronomy season, including the hauling of agricultural chemicals, fertilizers, and other materials as needed.
  • Ensure proper loading and unloading of materials.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, ensuring it is in good working condition.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while operating the vehicle.
  • Maintain accurate report and any vehicle maintenance issues.
  • Work extended hours and weekends as needed, especially during peak seasons.
  • Ensure timely and efficient transportation to meet operational deadlines.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and team members to coordinate tasks and troubleshoot issues.

Requirements:

  • Valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License).
  • Minimum of 1 – 2 years of truck driving experience, preferably in the agricultural industry.
  • Ability to work long hours, including some weekends and mandatory overtime (time and a half).
  • Experience in hauling grain or agricultural products is a plus.
  • Strong attention to safety and detail.
  • Ability to operate trucks with varying loads.
  • Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and withstand varying weather conditions.
  • Competitive hourly pay: $20 - $27 per hour.
