Job summary

Woods Equipment Company, part of the Oregon Tool, Inc. family, is seeking a CDL driver for long-haul trucking across 48 states and Canada. You will load, secure, and deliver cargo while adhering to DOT regulations and maintaining accurate logs and documentation.

Qualified candidates have a valid CDL, 200,000+ miles and 2+ years’ experience, a solid CSA record, and the ability to pass DOT physicals and screenings. Benefits include day-one health coverage and a comprehensive 401(k) program.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor trailer to transport cargo across 48 states and Canada.

• Maintain radio/phone contact with dispatcher for delays or changes.
• Keep hours of service logs and cargo paperwork compliant with regulations.
• Perform duties with integrity and timely, quality results.

$2,000 SIGN ON BONUS

The bonus would be paid in two installments:

• $1,000 after 90 days of employment
• $1,000 after 180 days of employment

HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT:

Operates a combination tractor trailer vehicle that transports cargo to and from specific destinations maintaining and following all Federal DOT and Company regulations for the Woods Equipment Brand as part of Oregon Tool's Farm Ranch and Ag division.

THE DETAILS:

• Operates a tractor trailer combination vehicle that transports cargo in all 48 states and Canada.
• Follows all Federal DOT and Company regulations.
• Prepares, receives and provides appropriate documentation for the delivery or pick up of goods to ensure timely service.
• Loads, secures, and unloads cargo using internal crane system.
• Maintains radio or telephone contact with dispatcher to receive delivery or pick up instructions or to receive notice of changes in scheduled delivery or pick up.
• Maintains hours of service logs and cargo according to Federal DOT and state regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

• Must possess a valid CDL.
• Must have at least 200,000 miles and 2+ years’ experience.
• Must have a satisfactory CSA score driving record and be able to pass DOT physical and drug screens.
• Able to complete responsibilities in a timely, professional and quality manner
• Solve problems analytically; search out relevant information and gauge its importance when making decisions
• Effective written and oral communication skills; able to express oneself clearly and in technical and non-technical terms
• Set a good example of personal integrity
• Manual Dexterity required for securing loads and slinging equipment.
• Occasionally lifts heavy objects. Some pushing and pulling to position fixtures and parts. Needs to be able to lift 75 lbs. Must be able to climb into back of trailer.
• Working Conditions inside the truck (70%) as well as outside (30%).
• Travel time is 100%.
• You do not need to possess 100% of these qualities to be considered.

WHAT WE OFFER (Compensation for this position):

• Mileage .77 CPM
• Stop #1 - $25.00
• All Stop #2- $20.00
• Returns - $20.00
• Delay Pay - $20.00 per hour
• Quarterly Safety Bonus - .025 CPM
• For Hire Pick up Delivery - $50.00 each
• Border Crossing - $50.00 each
• Safety Boots Allowance - $175.00 annually
• Winter Gear Allowance - $125.00 annually
• Hands Free System - $100.00 1x
