Job summary

The Hill Group is seeking an experienced CDL Class A Truck Driver in Illinois to operate 48’ tractor-trailer and 22’ straight truck assets, transporting ductwork, pipe, and HVAC equipment between construction sites. You will load, secure, and deliver cargo, log trips per DOT rules, and stay in close contact with dispatch.

Required are 5+ years of CDL experience, knowledge of DOT regulations, and familiarity with GPS/cellular devices; Knuckle Boom license is required for certain operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years CDL experience.
• Knowledge of DOT Rules & Regulations.
• Proficiency with cellular & GPS devices.
• Active NCCCO & City of Chicago Knuckle Boom Operators license.

Responsibilities

• Promote and enforce THG Safety Program and policies.
• Prepare and provide documentation for delivery or pickup.
• Load, secure and unload cargo.
• Maintain contact with dispatch for instructions and changes.
• Maintain travel and cargo logs per regulations.
• Perform light vehicle maintenance and daily inspection.
• Operate tandem axle tractors with 48’ trailers and 22’ straight trucks.
• Spot trailers within campus and assist with orders and warehouse upkeep.
