Class A CDL Truck Driver (Heavy Haul/Girder Driver) - County Prestress & Precast, LLC (Manufacturing)

County Prestress & Precast, LLC manufactures resilient concrete solutions for infrastructure, multifamily housing, and large-scale commercial construction. We seek a Girder Driver for our Salem, Illinois location.

Job Duties:

1. Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients.
2. Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and in-route inspections on all equipment, including securement devices.
3. Properly secure loads prior to transport following DOT regulations.
4. Operate tractor-trailer combinations.
5. Transport products ensuring compliance with DOT regulations.
6. Follow all safety policies, including using proper PPE.
7. Assist in loading and unloading girders.
8. Conduct route surveys before delivery.
9. Maintain cleanliness and good condition of assigned tractor.
10. Receive work assignments and report upon completion.
11. Communicate consistently with dispatchers.
12. Maintain professional and courteous customer relations.

Work Environment:

• Work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme heat or cold.
• Work near moving machinery and equipment.
• Operate in noisy environments.

Physical Requirements:

• Sitting, standing, walking, climbing, squatting, crouching, kneeling, bending.
• Carrying/Lifting 10-40 pounds.
• Pushing, pulling, reaching above shoulder.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Valid Class A CDL required prior to hire.
• Minimum 2 years of Class A CDL driving experience.
• Endorsement for doubles and triples required.

This position may be assigned to a contract carrier entity over which County Materials Corp. has no management authority.
