Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Truck Driver to join our team at Western Industrial Resources Corporation. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting materials safely and efficiently to various job sites. Your contributions will be vital in supporting our operations across the construction and maintenance sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a Class A truck, including transporting materials and equipment, and operating tankers.
- Ensure all transport complies with local, state, and federal regulations, including hazardous material handling (when applicable).
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, ensuring the truck is in safe operating condition.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, logs, and other necessary documentation.
- Ensure safe loading, unloading, and securing of materials.
Labor Activities on Construction and Pipeline Projects:
- Assist in performing various labor-intensive activities on construction and pipeline job sites, including excavation, pipe installation, and general labor tasks.
- Operate heavy equipment and machinery as necessary, including backhoes, forklifts, or other site-specific tools.
- Contribute to site setup and teardown, ensuring proper maintenance of equipment.
- Participate in team safety briefings and uphold all OSHA and project-specific safety standards.
Additional Duties:
- Willingness to take on additional roles and responsibilities as required by project needs.
- Collaborate with project managers, other supervisors, and departments to ensure on-time project delivery.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Participate in regular safety training and implement safety best practices on-site.
Qualifications:
- Valid Class A CDL with Tanker and Airbrake endorsements.
- Proven experience in truck driving, including operating tanker trucks.
- Previous experience as a skilled laborer or supervisor in commercial construction or pipeline projects.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and work in physically demanding conditions.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to direct and motivate a team.
- Solid understanding of construction, pipeline safety practices, and equipment operation.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and communicate clearly with management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in the pipeline or commercial construction industry.
- Certification in OSHA or other safety-related programs.
- Ability to operate additional heavy equipment (e.g., backhoes, cranes, forklifts).
- First Aid/CPR certification.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and perform labor-intensive tasks.
- Capability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and on rugged terrains.
- Ability to bend, kneel, stand, and climb as required for construction tasks.
