Job summary

POOLCORP seeks a Hazmat-endorsed Class A CDL driver for Pinch A Penny in Clearwater, FL. The role involves evening deliveries to Florida markets, with occasional routes to Texas or Arizona.

Qualifications

• Hazmat endorsement required or willing to obtain after hire.
• Valid Class A CDL with MV endorsements.
• Experience delivering with tractor-trailer and sleeper berth preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, complete, accurate, on-time deliveries within Florida and occasionally Texas/Arizona.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
• Follow DOT/FMCSR regulations and company safety policies.
• Interact with store personnel to collect documents, returns and pallets.

Driver will have keys to enter the businesses to make the deliveries. All nighttime deliveries.Unload the trailer with an electric pallet jack.Collect documents/ returns/ and pallets from stores.Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR)).Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and inform supervisor of any maintenance needed.Ensure the vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and presentable on a daily basis.Increase job and product knowledge on an ongoing basis.Perform other duties as assigned.What You Will Need:To be at least 21 years old.A valid Class A commercial driver's license with HAZMAT endorsement or willing to obtain endorsement once hired.To drive a Manual 48’ tractor/ trailer with sleeper berth1 year of recent and continuous tractor trailer experienceClean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). No DUIS or Drug and Alcohol related incidents within the last 5 years. No more than 2 moving violations/at fault accidents combined in the last 3 years. No major moving violations in the last 3 years or more than 1 at fault accident in the last 3 years.The ability to maneuver heavy objects that can weigh up to 100 pounds.Excellent customer service skills.Good communication skills, both written and verbal.To carry out instructions with minimal supervision.Familiarity with PCs and other material handling equipment (preferred).Moffett, Skelly or Air Brake experience a plus!Looking to work for the best in the industry?Look no further than POOLCORP, the world's leading distributor of outdoor living products.
