Job Description

Class A CDL OTR High Mile Drivers

Climate Express has been moving full truckloads of freight across the United States for 29 years! 200 Company drivers keep families across America supplied with essential household goods. We use safe Volvo tractors equipped with modern features, offering high miles, consistent paychecks, and solid home time. We are a team. We are strong. Together we can get things done.

Equipment

• 2022 or newer Volvo 760, automatic trucks
• Ergonomically designed seats and optimized steering
• 70" L / 96" W sleepers, pull-out tabletop
• Built-in refrigerators, auxiliary power units, dual antennas
• Flat screen TV mount, satellite radios
• On-site repair and wash facilities

Pay

Start pay: .55cpm - .58cpm, paid on practical miles whether loaded or empty. Additional pays include detention, layover, and other allowances. Average weekly pay ranges from $2,600 to $3,200. Paid weekly via direct deposit. No holdbacks.

Home Time

Drivers typically get 2 full days off after working 12-14 days within our area. Some drivers may stay out longer and receive up to 4 days off, with prior written agreement. Home time needs are communicated to dispatch and accommodated when possible.

Loads & Routes

98% of freight originates in Missouri. Over 55% is drop and hook; the rest involves 1 pick-1 drop loads. Freight is mainly dry van and reefer, with no operations in NY City, ports, or borders. Routes primarily follow major highways, with no dedicated routes.

Additional Policies

• Rider policy: 1 passenger, 12+ years old, available from day 1
• Canine policy: $500 fee, up to 2 small dogs or 1 large dog, deduction of $100/week until paid, non-refundable once placed
