About Climate Express

Climate Express has been transporting full truckloads of freight across the United States for 29 years. We have 200 company drivers who keep families across America supplied with essential household goods. Our fleet consists of safe Volvo tractors equipped with modern features, providing high miles, consistent paychecks, and solid home time. We are a team, strong and dedicated to getting things done.

Equipment

Our trucks are 2022 or newer Volvo 760 models, automatic transmission. Features include ergonomic seats, perfect steering position, 70" L / 96" W sleepers, pull-out tabletop, large built-in refrigerators, auxiliary power units with built-in manual power inverters (3500W), dual antennas, flat-screen TV mounts, satellite radios, right-way scales on trucks and trailers, Elite Pass for scales, tolls, and bridges. Maintenance is supported by an on-site repair facility, and truck/trailer washes are available.

Pay

Starting pay ranges from .55cpm to .58cpm, paid on practical miles whether loaded or empty. Additional compensation for detention, layovers, and other factors is determined per load and driver hours. Average weekly pay is between $2,600 and $3,200, paid weekly via direct deposit. Drivers are paid for work completed in the current week.

Home Time

Drivers typically get 2 full days off after working 12-14 days within our operating area. Some drivers may stay out longer and receive up to 4 days off, depending on their location and agreement. Home time arrangements are provided in writing before hiring and are honored. Drivers can notify dispatch of their home time needs. We aim to accommodate special events and appointments.

Loads & Routes

Most freight (98%) originates in Missouri, with over 55% being drop-and-hook. The rest involves 1 pick-1 drop loads. We primarily haul dry van and reefer trailers, with no freight involving slaughterhouses, fresh meat, ports, or borders. Routes are mainly on major highways, mostly contracted freight, with no dedicated routes. We operate in the middle corridor of the US, avoiding New York City and west of Denver, CO.

Rider & Canine Policies

Riders: 1 passenger aged 12 or older, available from day 1.
Canine: $500 fee per pet, with a deduction of $100 weekly until paid. Up to 2 small dogs or 1 large dog allowed. The policy is non-refundable once the pet is placed in the truck. No policies for cats, reptiles, or birds.
