Top Pay & Weekly Earnings

• Average $1,900+ per week
• Top 10% earn $100,000+ annually
• Base pay $26.00/hour plus bonus pay for endorsements
• Overtime paid after 40 hours
• $50 per diem per night
• Annual tenure bonus $1,000 every year
• Paid weekly

Schedule & Route Details

• Monday–Friday schedule (flexibility required)
• 40+ hours per week
• Regional Solo routes: VA, MD, DE, PA, NJ, NYC & DC
• Hotel stays or sleeper provided for overnights
• Travel time paid

Equipment & Freight

• Tractor Type: Day Cabs and Sleepers — Possibility of 26' Straight Truck
• Trailer Type: 48' - 53' Flatbed, Dry Van, Reefer, Conestoga, Curtainside, and Containers
• One year of flatbed experience required
• Hazmat, Tanker & Doubles/Triples endorsements needed
• Safe load securement experience (strapping, tarping, chaining)
• Equipment provided: Manual Pallet Jack, Rollers, Lift Gate, and Moffett
• Freight Mix: Touch & No‑Touch

Trucks are three years or newer. Ryder Drivers Service the Route, not the Truck. All Drivers have 24/7 Roadside Maintenance by a Ryder Trained Technician and fuel service at more than 800 maintenance facilities.

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor Vehicle check, including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor‑trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months within the past 3 years, or 2 years within the last 5 years, or 5 years within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
• Maintaining accurate records and logs
• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Perform other duties as assigned
