We are seeking a Flat Bed Driver for our customer, County Materials, located in Iowa City, IA.

About the position:

• Competitive hourly pay.
• The majority of freight hauled is for our company, with minimal wait time.

Job Duties:

• Provide excellent customer service while interfacing with clients.
• Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and in-route inspections on all equipment, including securement devices.
• Properly secure loads prior to transport following DOT regulations.
• Operate tractor-trailer combinations.
• Transport freight while ensuring compliance with DOT regulations.
• Follow all safety policies, including using proper PPE.
• Unload transported materials using approved methods.
• Maintain cleanliness and good operating condition of the assigned tractor.
• Receive work assignments and report back upon completion.
• Maintain consistent communication with the dispatcher.
• Maintain professional and courteous customer relations.

Work Environment:

• Work in outdoor weather conditions.

Physical Requirements:

• Sitting.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Must hold a valid Class A CDL prior to hire.
• Minimum of 2 years of driving experience required.
