Class A CDL Flatbed Truck Driver - County Materials (Transportation)

County Materials Corporation is a leading manufacturer and trusted industry resource for concrete construction and landscape products. For more than 75 years, their products have been used to build communities across America.

We are seeking a Flat Bed Driver for our customer, County Materials, located in Iowa City, IA. Military service members and veterans are encouraged to apply.

About the position:

• Competitive hourly pay

Job Duties:

• Provide excellent customer service when interfacing with clients
• Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and in-route inspections on all equipment, including securement devices
• Properly secure loads prior to transport, following DOT regulations
• Operate tractor-trailer combinations safely and efficiently
• Transport freight ensuring compliance with DOT regulations
• Follow all safety policies, including the use of proper PPE
• Unload transported materials using approved methods
• Maintain cleanliness and good condition of assigned tractor
• Receive work assignments and report on job completion
• Communicate consistently with dispatchers
• Maintain professional and courteous customer relations

Work Environment:

Work outdoors in various weather conditions

Physical Requirements:

• Sitting for extended periods
• Lifting and carrying 10-40 pounds
• Standing, walking, climbing
• Squatting, crouching, kneeling, bending
• Pushing, pulling, reaching above shoulder

Experience & Qualifications:

• Valid Class A CDL required prior to hire
