Class A CDL Flatbed Driver - Steel and Pipe - $1,400 to $1,600 Weekly (Full Time)
Job Type: Driving
Good flatbed jobs come down to three things: steady freight, fair pay and real home time. We offer all three, with drivers averaging $1,400 to $1,600 a week and home on weekends.
Freight and Schedule
- Most routes stay within about 5 states, with drivers home on weekends
- Work week ends Friday or Saturday, and you get at least a 34 hour reset
- Stay out longer, earn more: extra days on the road mean more loads and a bigger check
- Steel, pipe and building products, around 40 to 50% tarped
What You Earn
- Full week drivers average $1,400 to $1,600 gross
- Every tarped load adds $40
- $16 an hour detention once you pass 2 hours
- Breakdown $100 a day, layover $50 a day
- Direct deposit every Friday, and we never hold your pay
Equipment
- Late model Cascadia or T680 with an automatic transmission, never older than 3 years
- Assigned to you, and you can take it home on your days off
- Pets ride free with no restrictions, riders 18+ ride free
What Makes This Job Different
- $1,500 on your first check as a sign on bonus, with another $3,500 paid out over your first year
- Your pay is a share of each load, so good freight pays you directly
- Non-taxed per diem of $300 a week on top of your pay
- Flexible dispatch and a 24/7 team behind you
- Medical, dental and vision starting the first of the month after 30 days
- 401k with company match, free $10,000 life insurance
- 1 week paid vacation after year one, 2 weeks after year three
- 3 day orientation with travel, hotel and all meals covered
Requirements
- Minimum age 22 with a Class A CDL
- 1 year of OTR experience, including at least 6 months of flatbed in the past 5 years
- Real experience securing pipe and steel with chains, binders, straps and tarps
