Clean Harbors in Dolton, IL seeks a Class A CDL Equipment Operator to drive and operate a range of trucks and light/heavy equipment at customer sites, including vacuum trucks and roll-offs, for hazardous waste cleanup. Responsibilities include loading/unloading, daily logs, and compliance with DOT regulations.

Position requires extending to emergency response projects up to two weeks away from home; paid two-week Academy training out of state and hotel/per diem provided.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
• Ability to use mobile devices on site.
• Must perform physical tasks as part of job duties.
• Successful completion of background check, drug test, and medical exam as applicable.
• Per OSHA Respiratory Protection Standard, facial hair restrictions apply for respirator users.

Responsabilités

• Ensure Health and Safety is the top priority by following safe work practices and policies.
• Operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers as needed in a team environment.
• Operate a variety of Class A trucks (vacuum, Cusco, guzzler, roll-off) for hazardous waste cleanup.
• Load and unload trucks; perform manual labor to meet customer needs.
• Properly placard vehicles to meet DOT requirements and regulations.
• Maintain daily logs, time sheets, and reports.
• Comply with local, state, and federal regulations and company guidelines.
• Be on call for emergency response on a rotating basis; assist with site remediation and decontamination when required.
