Job summary

Clean Harbors in Urbana, IL is seeking a Class A CDL Equipment Operator to operate a variety of heavy and light duty trucks and equipment at customer sites, including vacuum trucks and roll-offs, for hazardous waste cleanup. The role includes both driving and non-driving duties on and off sites.

Hazmat and Tanker endorsements are preferred. Training is provided—out-of-state Academy training is paid, with related expenses covered.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL is required to operate a variety of trucks and equipment.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements preferred.
• Overtime after 40 hours.
• Some overnight travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy and light duty trucks and equipment at customer sites during hazardous waste cleanup.
• Perform driving and non-driving duties on and off customer sites; supporting site operations.
• Attend out-of-state academy training; training is paid and related expenses are covered.
• On-call as needed.

Clean Harbors in Urbana, IL is seeking a Class A CDL Equipment Operator to operate a variety of heavy and light duty trucks/work equipment at our customer sites; some of the vehicles operated include vacuum trucks, Cuscos, guzzlers, and roll offs. This role is responsible for performing driving and non-driving duties on and off customer sites associated with hazardous waste clean-up.

• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements preferred, no automatic restriction
• Monday through Friday schedule, average start time between 6-7 am, overtime after 40 hrs.
• Some overnight travel, hotel and per diem provided
• On call as needed

Note: This position requires new hires to attend our out-of-state Academy training, which may require being away from home for a period of time. Training duration may vary based on scheduling and program requirements. Training is paid, and related expenses are covered by the company.
