Job description

Class A CDL Driver / Equipment Operator

Salary: $25-$32 per hour, based on experience and skills.

Primary responsibilities involve driving dump trucks, pulling trailers, loading/unloading, securing equipment, and operating commercial paving equipment such as bobcat skid steers with various attachments, small rollers, mini excavators, and assisting with light labor duties as needed.

Qualified applicants should possess:

1. Willingness to work various hours, including overtime, some travel, and Saturdays if required.
2. The ability to lift at least 40 pounds.
3. Physical capabilities including stretching, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, twisting, throwing, walking, standing, reaching, and squatting, with exposure to extreme weather conditions.
4. Self-motivation, good communication skills, teamwork, and reliable attendance.

Requirements:

1. Must be 21 years or older and pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening.
2. Ability to complete electronic logs and digital timesheets.

Responsibilities include:

1. Loading and unloading trailers.
2. Securing equipment and materials.
3. Vehicle inspections and safety training.
4. Assisting with job site setup and cleanup.
5. Dumping asphalt into paver.
6. Pickup and delivery of asphalt and aggregate materials.
7. Operating paving equipment: skid steer, rollers, mini excavators.
8. Performing miscellaneous tasks as requested by project foremen.

Qualifications and skills:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Valid Class A CDL with a good driving record; experience driving commercial vehicles with CDL required.
3. At least 3 years of CDL driving experience.
4. Willingness to learn equipment operating skills.
