Job description

Total Safety is looking for a DOT Driver to join their safety-conscious team! The CDL Driver operates a commercial truck and various trailers to pick up, haul, and unload equipment and supplies to and from job sites and customer locations, complying with current DOT regulations.

Job Responsibilities

1. Follow safety and operations checklists for each trailer type before each haul and complete DOT and company documentation accurately.
2. Ensure timely delivery and pick-up at designated customer locations.
3. Inspect equipment for damage or excessive wear during pickup and note findings.
4. Comply with current DOT regulations.
5. Complete all delivery and pickup documentation promptly and obtain customer signatures for proper invoicing.
6. Perform basic maintenance and care of the assigned vehicle and/or trailer.
7. Conduct weekly inspections of trucks and trailers to ensure safety and maintenance compliance, documenting all actions.
8. Assist in facility tasks such as stocking shelves, preparing equipment, and loading customer orders.
9. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
10. Provide emergency roadside repairs if necessary and assist others as needed.
