ILLINI Environmental is currently seeking highly motivated Class A CDL Drivers with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements to work for a progressive, fast-growing company. ILLINI has invested in new equipment and technology to ensure our drivers have the best tools available to serve our customers. Our fleet averages 2019 and newer models, with new equipment added annually.

Drivers typically work 40+ hours a week, with overtime paid at time and a half, mostly evenings and weekends at home. We offer highly competitive pay and a generous benefits package, making ILLINI an excellent choice for drivers looking to advance their professional careers.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections on vehicles and equipment, checking for mechanical issues and safety concerns
• Report deficiencies to mechanic staff for repairs
• Comply with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies
• Document work/rest periods, miles driven, and retain fuel/toll receipts and incident reports
• Complete shipping documents accurately
• Operate vehicles safely and courteously, providing excellent customer service

Qualifications & Skills

• Valid Class A CDL license
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements (or willingness to obtain post-employment)
• At least 2 years of verifiable driving experience and a minimum age of 23
• Clean driving record with no recent violations
• Ability to pass physical and drug/alcohol screenings
• Knowledge of relevant regulations
• Ability to handle unexpected situations such as traffic or weather issues
