Job Description

ILLINI Environmental is currently seeking highly motivated Class A CDL Drivers with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements to work for a progressive, fast-growing company. ILLINI has invested in new equipment and technology to ensure our drivers have the best tools available to serve our customers. Our fleet averages 2019 and newer models, with new equipment added annually.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections on vehicles and equipment, checking for mechanical issues and safety concerns.
• Report any deficiencies to mechanic staff for repairs.
• Comply with federal, state, and local rules and regulations, as well as company policies.
• Document work/rest periods, miles driven, fuel/toll receipts, and incident reports.
• Complete shipping documents accurately.
• Operate vehicles safely and courteously, interacting professionally with customers and staff.

Qualifications & Skills

• Valid Class A CDL driver's license.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements (or willingness to obtain post-employment).
• Minimum 2 years of verifiable experience and at least 23 years of age.
• Clean driving record with no recent major violations.
• Ability to pass physical and drug/alcohol screenings.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations.
• Ability to handle unexpected situations like traffic or weather changes.
