Job summary

R.J. Schinner Co., Inc. is a family-owned business with 70+ years of growth and 20 distribution centers across the U.S. We’re seeking a Class A Driver to join our Springfield, MO team, with Monday–Friday early-morning starts and 1–2 overnight stays per week.

You’ll inspect your truck, verify deliveries, handle touch-freight, and maintain DOT-compliant logs. You’ll build strong customer relationships, keep accurate ship tickets, and represent the company with professionalism and safety.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• 2–3 years driving experience preferred.
• DOT requirements including pre-employment and random drug testing.
• Clean driving record; background check.
• Current Federal Medical Card.
• Experience making deliveries a plus.
• Strong customer service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Inspect truck before and after trips and complete DVIRs.
• Verify deliveries with customers; ensure quantities match ship tickets.
• Handle touch-freight deliveries using a pallet jack.
• Collect payments for goods delivered per ship tickets.
• Keep accurate driver logs complying with regulations.
• Operate vehicle safely according to DOT and company policies.
• Maintain a clean, well-kept vehicle representing the company.
• Keep CDL current and driving record clean per standards.
• Uphold company policies and contribute to a positive team culture.
