Job summary

Fastenal Co. is hiring a Driver (DOT - CDL) - Class A for the Modesto, CA distribution center. This full-time role delivers from the distribution center to branches and customer sites, operating a late-model tractor trailer or straight truck.

You will unload at stops, use a handheld scanner, and maintain safety and vehicle condition on the road. The role requires a HazMat endorsement or ability to obtain one, a clean driving record, DOT Hours-of-Service knowledge, and the ability to lift up to

Qualifications

• Possess a current HazMat endorsement or ability to obtain one.
• Meet Fastenal driving record requirements.
• Demonstrate knowledge of DOT regulations for CDL.
• Lift up to 60 lbs and maneuver up to 150 lbs.
• Successfully complete DOT drug and alcohol screens, road test, employment verification and background check.

Responsibilities

• Utilizing a handheld scanner.
• Unloading product from trucks by hand, pallet jack, or forklift.
• Providing excellent service to our branches and customers by delivering product promptly and efficiently.
• Interacting with shipping and receiving departments.
• Maintaining a clean work environment within equipment and work area.
• Complying with DOT and Fastenal safety regulations and sustainability goals.
