MCG Tran is seeking a truck driver for local flatbed routes in Davenport, IA. You will deliver unfinished steel tubes and conduits to nearby customers, using manual tarps and straps as required.

Expect about 170 miles and 6 stops per day with mostly preloaded trailers and no driver unloads; uniforms are provided by the customer and safety protocols must be followed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform manual labor on flatbed equipment.
• Experience with tarping and strap work is preferred.
• Knowledge of load securement best practices and safety.
• Ability to climb on/off trailers multiple times per day.

Responsabilités

• Deliver unfinished steel tube and conduit on flatbeds to local customers.
• Manually tarp loads, roughly 1 time per week, with straps up to 50 lbs.
• Handle about 170 miles and 6 stops per day with mostly preloaded trailers.

Job DescriptionEQUIPMENT IS MANUAL - NO AUTOMATIC RESTRICTIONS Position Details:

• Flatbed account delivering unfinished steel tube and conduit to local customers
• Drivers will use conestoga and occasionally pup trailers to keep the product protected
  • On average, drivers are required to manually tarp 1 load/week on standard flatbeds (tarps can weigh up to 50lbs)
• 10% of loads are drop/hook and 90% of loads are live unloads
• Close to 100% preloaded trailers
• No driver unload
• Driver should expect an average of 170 miles and 6 stops per day
• Uniforms are required, but provided by customer

Special Requirements:

• Driver will be required to get flat bed certified, JBH Account management will set up the training
• Strapping loads will be required 100% of the time
• Drivers may be required to throw straps over freight stacked 12'6\" high
• Drivers are required to climb on and off trailers multiple times per day
