Job summary

Clean Harbors, Inc. in La Porte, TX is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to operate a variety of heavy and light trucks at customer sites, including vacuum trucks and roll offs, for hazardous waste cleanup.

This role requires compliance with DOT and company safety guidelines, daily logging, and potential on-call emergency response. Training is provided via a two-week out-of-state Academy with expenses paid.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Ability to obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsement within 90 days.
• Ability to use various mobile devices.
• Perform physical functions per job requirements.
• Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical per position.
• Must meet OSHA Respiratory Protection facial hair standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the top priority by following safe work practices and policies.
• Operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers as needed.
• Operate a variety of Class A trucks.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Perform on-site manual labor to meet customer needs.
• Ensure proper placarding to meet DOT requirements.
• Maintain daily logs, time sheets, and reports.
• Follow local, state, and federal regulations.
• Safely operate vehicles per DOT and company guidelines.
• Be on call for emergency response on a rotating basis.
• Site remediation and handling of hazardous materials.

Valid Class A CDL
