Job summary

Clean Harbors in Richmond, CA is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to operate a variety of heavy and light trucks at customer sites, including vacuum trucks and roll offs. This role includes driving and non-driving duties on and off sites, with safety and DOT compliance as priorities.

This position offers paid two-week Academy training out of state, company-paid training and benefits after 30 days, and opportunities for growth. Competitive hourly pay of $32–$34 DOE.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Ability to obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsement within 90 days of employment.
• Ability to use various mobile devices.
• Perform physical functions per job requirements.
• Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical, by position.
• Facial hair standards per OSHA respirator requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers when needed.
• Operate a variety of Class A trucks.
• Loading and unloading of trucks.
• Manual labor on site to fulfill customer needs.
• Properly placard vehicles to meet DOT requirements/regulations.
• Maintain daily logs, time sheets, and reports.
• Follow all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.
• Safely operate vehicles per DOT and company guidelines.
• Be on call for emergency response on rotating basis.
• Site remediation and handling of hazardous materials.
