Job summary

East Coast Facilities, Inc. seeks a Class A CDL Driver in Crest Hill, IL to safely operate tractors and haul heavy equipment to job sites, service centers, suppliers, and the Home Office. This role supports field production and logistics with on-time, properly documented loads and strict safety standards.

The position requires pre-trip to post-trip inspections, DOT logs, and load securement per regulations. Extended overnight travel and light shop support duties are included as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL license with acceptable MVR.
• Experience hauling heavy equipment or operating Class A tractors.
• Strong load-securement knowledge.
• Experience with construction, fleet, landscape, or industrial equipment preferred.
• Able to perform light mechanical duties and follow instructions from Mechanics.
• Able to work in shop, yard, and job site environments.
• Willing to extended overnight and out-of-state travel.
• Willing to fly commercially for remote deployments or surge operations.
• Proficient with a smartphone for logs, photos, and communication.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written) due to DOT/safety.
• Must pass drug test, DOT physical, and background check.
• Complies with company ethics, confidentiality, and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class A tractors and transport trailers, heavy equipment, and materials.
• Complete long-distance, multi-state, and overnight trips as required.
• Ensure proper load securement per DOT and company standards.
• Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of tractors, trailers, and loads.
• Maintain DOT logs and inspection documents.
• Transport fleet equipment between Service Centers, job sites, suppliers, and the Home Office.
• Ensure transported equipment is safe, functional, and properly documented.
• Assist production teams during equipment staging, loading, unloading, and setup.
• Perform light preventive maintenance and minor repairs.
• Support shop operations, logistics, and field tasks.
• Help with equipment placement, fueling, and moving fleet assets.
