Job summary

QXO, a leading building products distributor and installer, is hiring a CDL driver to support our nationwide logistics operations. The role requires at least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience, a valid class A or B CDL, and the ability to operate heavy equipment and a manual transmission truck.

You will load, secure loads, perform pre-trip inspections, coordinate with dispatch, and uphold DOT safety procedures while working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• CDL license Class A or B in good standing
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience
• Experience operating heavy equipment and driving a manual transmission truck
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Perform touch-freight tasks, lifting/moving/carrying products weighing over 75 lbs
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, verify load accuracy
• Notify branch management of potential hazards on site
• Set up job parameters and inspect sites for loading/unloading safety
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure timely delivery
• Follow DOT and company safety procedures and wear PPE
