Job description

Position Summary

Our CDL Drivers load, deliver, unload, and pick up equipment and supplies from various local job sites. Drivers must be dependable, responsible, and possess a positive attitude, providing excellent customer service and ensuring the job gets done. A current Class A license with hazmat endorsement is required, along with adherence to all DOT regulations.

Essential Responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  1. Deliver and pick up customer equipment, breathing air, and/or bottle trailers timely from designated customer sites.
  2. Provide courteous customer relations and strive to strengthen customer relationships by establishing a reputation for fast, accurate, and on-time deliveries.
  3. Serve as an Air Shop Technician when directed, performing receipt inspection, cleaning, servicing, reassembling, and testing of customer equipment following approved procedures.
  4. Continuously upgrade skills to handle new assignments and responsibilities in line with company needs.
  5. Refuse to perform unsafe tasks and report incidents immediately to management.
  6. Respond promptly to work requests from the Operations Dispatcher.
  7. Inspect all equipment for damage or excessive wear when picking up, report findings, and comply with DOT regulations.
  8. Follow safety and operational checklists before each haul.
  9. Make deliveries and pickups of company equipment, trailers, breathing air equipment, and others requiring a CDL license, ensuring all documentation is completed and submitted.
  10. Practice safe and courteous driving at all times.
  11. Learn and observe site-specific safety requirements for each customer facility.
  12. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Safety-conscious with a clean driving record
  • At least 2 years of Class A CDL driving experience with a current hazmat endorsement
  • Current TWIC card
  • Must be 23 years or older
  • Ability to access all client sites without restrictions
  • Pass background and drug tests
  • Ability to regularly push/pull 110 pounds with PPE

Physical Demands

Employees must meet physical requirements to perform essential functions, with accommodations available for disabilities.

  • Frequent sitting, standing, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, handling, talking, and hearing
  • Frequent walking, climbing, or balancing
  • Regularly lift/move up to 50 pounds; push/pull 110 pounds

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position with possible overtime, weekend hours, and rotating on-call schedules, including weekends.
