Job summary

Moorhead is seeking reliable Class A CDL Drivers to safely transport materials and debris to and from job sites in Virginia. The role may require moving heavy equipment and operating a walking floor trailer. You will support our operations by ensuring timely deliveries, proper load securing and adherence to safety standards.

Ideal candidates have driving experience, a strong safety record and the ability to work well in a team. Per diem may be provided for travel to job sites.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A with a clean driving record.
• Experience hauling mulch and operating a walking floor trailer.
• Experience transporting heavy equipment preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT rules and safe hauling practices.
• Ability to properly secure loads with chains, binders, straps and tarps.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to travel to job sites with per diem where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Operate CDL Class A trucks to haul equipment, materials and debris.
• Transport mulch using a walking floor trailer as needed.
• Load and unload heavy equipment such as excavators and skid steers.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and basic maintenance.
• Maintain logs and DOT-compliant documentation.
• Coordinate deliveries with project management and crews.
• Adhere to safety policies and environmental standards.
• Assist with site tasks when not driving.
